Which format is best suited for me?

Both the 24-bit/96 kHz FLAC and the 16-bit/48 kHz AIFF formats offer excellent audio quality. The 24-bit/96 kHz FLAC format is ideal for audiophile enthusiasts who seek the highest level of audio fidelity and plan to listen to their music on high-end audio equipment. It provides a greater dynamic range and captures more intricate details of the music.

On the other hand, the 16-bit/48 kHz AIFF format, while slightly lower in terms of sampling rate, still maintains a high standard of sound quality. It is compatible with a wide range of music players and is suitable for meta-tagging purposes.

Ultimately, the choice between these formats depends on your personal preferences and the equipment you will be using to listen to the music. If you have high-quality audio gear and value the finest details in the sound, the 24-bit/96 kHz FLAC format would be an excellent choice. However, if compatibility and ease of use are important factors for you, the 16-bit/48 kHz AIFF format would be a suitable option.
